Experiencing technology firsthand rather than merely consuming it on screens: Participants in the MINT workshops or the MAKEATHON at the trade show get to program, solve challenging tasks, and develop their own ideas – a true hands-on experience revolving around robotics and automation.
On Friday, June 27, 2025, automatica, the leading trade fair for intelligent automation and robotics in Munich, will serve as a stage for young tech enthusiasts and future-oriented talents. In collaboration with Messe München, VDI, and Gerda Stetter Foundation – Technik macht Spass!, ITQ GmbH offers a diverse program for students and career-changers.
At automatica 2025, technology becomes tangible! In interactive Tech Workshops, youths aged 10 and older can explore the fascinating world of robotics, programming, and automation in an engaging manner. Whether programming LEGO Mindstorms EV3 robots, interacting with Medion s little blue robot Karl, controlling the TI-Innovator Rover from Texas Instruments, or navigating through the virtual Minecraft Future City by Fraunhofer IAO – here, technology becomes an adventure. Additionally, future-relevant topics such as regenerative energies and Open-Source Innovations from the EU-funded project EduDemoS are featured. Participation is free of charge.
For students taking part in the automatica MAKEATHON, it s time to roll up sleeves and get started! In just six hours, teams from Technical University of Applied Sciences Augsburg develop functional prototypes and creative solutions – guided by experienced professors as well as engineers from ITQ GmbH.
All this takes place under the umbrella of the automatica Young Talent and Career Day. Everyone is invited – whether orienting themselves professionally or looking to restart their career. Engaging directly with renowned companies in the automation sector fosters valuable connections. The Young Talent and Career Day connects people with innovative enterprises, offering practical insights, inspiration, and plenty of enthusiasm for technology.
