CHICAGO, Jan. 26, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Heidrick&Struggles International,
Inc. (Nasdaq:HSII), the leadership advisory firm providing executive search and
leadership consulting services worldwide, today announced that Robert Szymanski
and Oliver Schiltz have joined the firm–s Warsaw and Zurich offices
respectively as partner and principal in the Life Sciences Practice. Mr.
Szymanski will focus on building relationships with CEE and Russian-based
businesses as well as placing high-level executives within international
companies operating throughout the region. Mr. Schiltz will expand and support
the firm–s activities in Central Europe.

Mr. Szymanski joins Heidrick&Struggles from Polpharma SA, Poland–s largest
pharmaceutical company, which he has led as CEO/general manager and commercial
vice president. His former career was spent at AstraZeneca for 16 years, where
he held several marketing and general management positions, including vice
president area CEE. Robert is a Medical Doctor and Dentist by profession and
holds a master of business administration from the University of Minnesota and
the Warsaw School of Economics.

Mr. Schiltz has extensive leadership search experience from RSA, where he
helped to build the new Swiss office. In addition to his core experience in
Life Sciences, he has worked on assignments in chemicals and agro, as well as
in recruitment of legal functions. Prior to working for RSA, Mr. Schiltz headed
the Life Sciences practice at Hays International in Zurich and worked for the
European Medicines Evaluation Agency EMEA in London as a lawyer. He was trained
as a lawyer and has LLB and LLM degrees from the University of London and the
Columbia University School of Law, New York.
